What city is so cheap they use asphalt sidewalks? Holy fuck!
There's sidewalks here that are over 100 years old and are concrete.
Zero asphalt sidewalks here. Wtf is that?!
I do not know. It's an affluent neighborhood and Susan Collins live there.
A lot of older sidewalks and curbs back East aren't concrete, they're cut stone and laid in place. I know the Naval War College in Rhode Island has actual cut granite curbing in many areas, for example. That surprised me the first time I was there.
Not some asphalt though. yeah, cut granite and like that, or really good concrete. Asphalt? Never seen that.
Rock is plentiful up the eastern seaboard.
Pretty sure there's cut granite curbing on Nebraska here, and that's where the hookers stroll.
Tranny hookers on OBT have better sidewalks than what's pictured in the OP.
Well, it might be possible they did it because of frost heave and the like being easier to repair.
Must not be too affluent if they can't afford to pour concrete sidewalks and have some shitty asphalt.
There's A-grade 100 year old sidewalks even in the ghetto here. The good stuff has like.. granite for aggregate.
Or river rock pebbles.
This is her house.

That looks like it wants to be a real Victorian house but isn't.
There's none of the carved artistic gable-thingys. $140-$160K?
Depends on the construction. I bet those things on the soffit are fake and don't correspond to real trusses.
IOW: That's a fake and cheaply built faux Victorian wanna-be of a house. Probably built between 2000-2007.
Yeah..about that. This is the 1st time I ever heard the term "frost heave".
They have concrete sidewalks in NY..
America is kinda poor.
we are the richest country on earth, lead by an incompetent and morally bankrupt president at the moment.
Richest? We've struggled for decades to find the money to fix our infrastructure. We can't afford universal healthcare or free public universities. Our leaders even debate welfare for needy parents.
I wouldn't exactly call America "rich."
America is kinda poor.
It has a heated 2 car garage. It can't be all bad...
