Is this illegal? Inquiring minds want to know

Richest? We've struggled for decades to find the money to fix our infrastructure. We can't afford universal healthcare or free public universities. Our leaders even debate welfare for needy parents.

I wouldn't exactly call America "rich."

Where do all those quarters from every gallon of gas sold in America every day go?

I'd agree on trying to find the money, because it's going out every day and not much is getting done for what's going out.

Do you live in a warm area? Because I live in Pennsylvania and the sidewalks regularly move in the winter when the ground freezes. it makes shoveling a bitch but they settle back in the warm weather.

I do. It freezes here once or twice every 2 years or so.

We have the freeze/thaw quite often here in PA. Water gets between the divided sidewalks, freezes and separates them, then thaws and water gets under them and starts all over again.
It sucks and there isn't much you can do about it.

Michigan sez...hold muh beer.

You're from PA, don't we have the 2nd. highest fuel taxes to fix our roads and bridges?

Universal healthcare and free universities? Pay your own way. I fund 13 years of free education now.

My grandparents have been living in PA. Every single time I've gone to visit or stay at their home, those highways and roads are always the same for 40 years. Nothing changed. Even the same orange cones and toll booths. It just sucks.

However we all are a die-hard Steelers fauns. :)

The last couple of concerts I've gone to we had to take detours because of road construction. There are some things getting done, but if you figure gasoline taxed at $0.060/gallon and diesel at $0.741/gallon, there should be enough construction to make a GPS useless.
