Walter Mitt(y) Romney, an INVITED GUEST to the United Kingdom sure brought his Utah Yank crassness when he had the cheek to insult his hosts by suggesting Britain was not ready to host the Olympic Games.
If that is an example of his future attitude to friends and allies he'd better quit now before he wakes up on the floor with a crowd looking down at him.
For once I support Cameron, as thick as he is, when he said, 'We've delivered this incredible Olympic Park on time, on budget and in real style.' He should have added 'and no freakin yank who doesnt know which way is up has the right to even look in our direction let alone make rude, insulting comments.'
Mr. Romney, don't let us keep you. Fuck off out of Britain. Here's the cab fare to Heathrow.

What the hell are you taklking about, link? Its in the Daily Telegraph. You people seem to think that nothing exists if its not on the bloody internet. I seldom, if ever, cut and paste. You should know that.

Making the controversial comments to NBC News last night, he said: 'You know, it’s hard to know just how well it will turn out.

'There are a few things that were disconcerting, the stories about the private security firm not having enough people, supposed strike of the immigration and customs officials, that obviously is not something which is encouraging. Because in the Games, there are three parts that makes Games successful.

'Number one, of course, are the athletes. That’s what overwhelmingly the Games are about. Number two are the volunteers. And they’ll have great volunteers here.

'But number three are the people of the country. Do they come together and celebrate the Olympic moment? And that’s something which we only find out once the Games actually begin.'

Please. I was looking for context, not "proof"...

Stop being such a whinger.

Its none of his business. He is an invitee and he made the comments I refer to not on some tinpot yank news show but in the United Kingdom.
D'ye know that even if it was true, which it most definitely is not, he needs to learn a little respect for his hosts. We dont need yank comments, as much as you all hope and pray that the UK will fail.
If you are so much against us and the supposed special relationship stay in yankland and keep your bloody athletes with you.

I do not winge, Damo. But I get fucking angry when some robot of a yank thinks he has the right to comment on something that has absolutely NOTHING to do with him.

Romney and his ilk represent about 23% of the country...why are you so unhinged that you condemn everyone for his stupidity? You sound like one of his supporters.

You do across as a whinger at times, yes Romney is a tit but hopefully that will be yet another black mark against him. I will tell you one thing though, if he was to come out and say that he supported the British position on the Falkland Islands he would win many friends in the UK.

Um... He was asked about it because he ran a successful Olympics, one that actually pulled a profit for Utah. If you don't want the answer tell the host not to ask the question.

All he said was, "Let's wait and see." Which, apparently thin-skinned to the core, Brits took as, "He said we're not ready!"

Oh come on, tact and diplomacy is supposed to be part of being a potential world leader, well at least until you get elected anyway.

Here is one ugly american, even the flies are attracted to shit!

wow, you should look into getting that stick removed from your ass. Heaven forbid that a US network ask a US President (who previously had run the Salt Lake Olympic preparations etc... and thus knows how hard it is and the problems organizers can face) for his opinion and OMG OMG OMG he dared to actually give it. OMG OMG OMG

You are such a schmuck Low.

Well, then! Romney's crassness is completely excuseable!

Apparently the Romney campaign also complained to the Telegraph that Obama's not white enough to understand the special relationship between the two nations.

Great trip so far.

That's what I heard. Incredible that only people of English descent matter to him. Just because he is.

Until he goes to Japan, and proclaims he would restore 'Asian' relations between Japan and America, or India where he would restore Indian relations between them and America. Then look around for the cowboys to applaud.

Or China, where he would proclaim "Here's by checkbook!".

"Anglo-Saxon relations!" Holy fucking shit.

A Romney administration will revert us back to the embarrassing days of Bush's chronic foot-in-mouth disease.
