Philip has hardly a PC bone in his body, some of his jokes are a bit off but there are some good ones as well. I especially like the one when he was in Scotland and he was being shown around a driver test centre, he said to someone "how do you manage to keep them sober long enough to pass the test?"

Do you realise that divulging the contents of PMs is a banning offence?
 
tom it's not really a banning offense especially if spoken in generalities. I mean the pm function has a forward option. So it's not like you can say whatever you want to someone in a pm and by reading it they are signing a NDA.

The don't post pm's rule just stems from a long time ago situation where that is exactly what happened. Someone got access to private messages and posted them on a board.

Additionally it just clutters up the board with possible unnecessary drama. If people started posting pm's all the time it would just be annoying. We would probably delete those posts depending on context.

So far the precedent on this board for banning has always been personal information violations, or people saying sick stuff about children.

"personal information" is not to be a watered down term here. It's always going to mean, actual, real life stuff that could have REAL implications, not gotcha tactics.

Real Names
Phone numbers
addresses
names of friends/family
posting pictures of people without permission
Where people work

Using that information to harass people with

etc.

Not: "you told everyone I said something bad about you in a pm to somebody else." That's not personal information.
