Is this why Liberal places have kids with higher test scores than the South?

Drugs,Pregnancy.gangs, low test scores...anymore comments...theLibs have all of the posted results...sad but true!

- The five states with the highest teen pregnancy rates in 2000 were: Nevada (113), Arizona (104), Mississippi (103), New Mexico (103), Texas (101)

- The five states with the lowest rates: Maine (52), Minnesota (50), New Hampshire (47), Vermont (44), North Dakota (42)

The south has a higher pregnancy rate, whereas the Midwest and NorthEast states have the lowest.

Give me teen pregnancy rates by city. For example, Houston is a Liberal Democrat haven in a Conservative state, along with a lot of Liberal areas close to the border and they lead the way in teen pregnancy:

Also, teen pregnancy rates include "teens" that are 18 and 19 who are adults. In the south and more Conservative areas, people often get married as soon as they turn 18 and have kids right away, yet they would show up in these rates.

State data is better than nation data, but still too macro.

It is the state that decides what Textbooks should be read, right? Texas is an 'abstinence-only' state.

Rates are per capita, not total numbers, thus rendering state populations irrelevant.

And also, pregnancy rates include pregnancies which were aborted, thus rendering abortions irrelevant to pregnancy rate. All pregnancies are counted, regardless of their outcome.

BB, you live in the most absolute worst state when it comes to kids getting pregnant, and then having abortions. How does that make ya feel?

Principal orders teachers to dumb down standards.

"Principal Tells Teachers To Dumb-Down Standards
City Hall Angered; Central Park East High Students Miffed

Andrew Kirtzman HARLEM (CBS) ― Have teachers at an East Harlem school been ordered to lower their standards because many students there are poor?

That's the impression some got from their principal's memo.

And now City Hall has stepped in.

The weather was gloomy Thursday outside Central Park East High School, but the talk was about a controversial memo from the school's principal.

"I don't think he thinks we're dumb," 12th grader Crystal Scarlett said. "He just thinks we can do much better than we're doing."

But not everyone agreed.

Last month, Principal Bennett Lieberman sent off a stern memo to teachers.

"If you are not passing more than 65 percent of your students in a class, then you are not designing your expectations to meet their abilities, and you are setting your students up for failure, which, in turn, limits your success as a professional."

Was he ordering teachers to dumb down their classes?

The memo continued:

"Most of our students come from the lowest third percentile in academic achievement, have difficult home lives, and struggle with life in general. They DO NOT have a similar upbringing nor a similar school experience to our experiences growing up."

Some students took offense.

"That's not the way to pass," 12th grader Richard Palacios said. "That's not the way to get your education, so you're basically cheating yourself." "

When kids don't get good grades, just make the questions easier and voila.
Can we get a voucher system now?
Given all of those strikes against them, aren't these the students most in need of enriched curriculum and teachers capable of presenting it? Not to mention inspiring them?

Arizona
The Law: Currently, you do not need parent permission to have an abortion. However, there is a law which requires girls younger than 18 to get permission from one parent to have an abortion. This law is not being enforced because of a court order. Call a clinic for more information.

New Mexico
You do not need parent permission to have an abortion

The ONLY STATE in the HIGH Birth Rate states

Mississippi

Judicial Bypass - Yes.

Also you redneck moron it is births per capita so population doesn't matter. Go back to pullin on the shine jug.

Wow did you notice that upon getting owned about Pregnancy rates and the fact they are per capita and the fact that Nevada has a HIGH abortion rate BB disappeared as well. From this thread. he posted 26 other times up until after 8pm MST. But this thread seemed to own his ass so he quit posting here.

No his snide remark was to point out just how fucking little you really know about much of anything in this topic. You like Dano just say WHATEVER comes to your mind and hope that no one will call you on it.

You said that the pregnancy rates were higher is states where it was harder to get an abortion. YOU WERE WRONG did you ever really solve a crime?

You made this comment and you were wrong. With the exception of Mississippi all the other states are about the same on obtaining an abortion. And then you tried to make some claim about pregnancies and population when pregnancies are per 1000. You were pretending to know something and you were fucking called on it. Now go back to watching the Dukes of Hazzard and let the adults talk.
