Is Trump a strong and decisive leader?

John Bolton?

How was Obama decisive? What were the consequences when Russia invaded and took over the Crimea? How about when Russian missiles were used by their Ukrainian puppets to down a civilian airliner?

"We cannot have a situation where chemical or biological weapons are falling into the hands of the wrong people," Obama told reporters at the White House. "We have been very clear to the Assad regime -- but also to other players on the ground -- that a red line for us is we start seeing a whole bunch of chemical weapons moving around or being utilized.

We have seen far more decisiveness out of Trump than we have ever seen by any Democratic President over the last five decades. Get your head out of your ass. You'll think better.

FUCK OFF LOSER!

Yes: 51%.

This is one of the strangest misconceptions. Anyone who falls for it should take a look at Bolton’s book. None of them knew what Trump was going to say or do from one day to the next.

In June 2019 Iran shot down a US Global Hawk surveillance drone in international airspace (the latest and most expensive of many provocations). President Trump said Iran had made a "big mistake”. A meeting of the National Security Council (Trump, Pence, Pompeo, Bolton and others) agreed to hit three Iranian targets in response.

Later that day, with no further consultation and a couple of hours to go, Trump changed his mind and canceled it.

“In my government experience, this was the most irrational thing I ever witnessed any President do. It called to mind Kelly’s question ... what would happen if we ever got into a real crisis with Trump as President?”
John Bolton: ‘The Room Where It Happened’, page 403.

Note that the poll was from last year. I'm guessing several of those numbers would be quite different today.

In the same poll - is Trump honest and trustworthy?
No: 65%.

Still, as long as he's strong and decisive ...

Don't get hung up on "strong and decisive". A person can be "strong and decisive" while also being 100% wrong and bad for the nation.

It's a poll question and people answered honestly.

Maybe we should start a new rule. "If 10 or more members tag a person's posts as being sociopathic lies, then 'sociopathic liar' will be replace their signature". If that rule existed, does anyone doubt the TD twins and several others would have very small signatures?

You flipped on Bolton pretty quickly. ;)

Yes, he did, but he's not alone. That's been the trend in the Republican party since the NeoCons; they attack anyone who doesn't toe the line. There is no room for independent thought or disagreement in the modern RNC. Personally, I blame Gingrich for destroying the RNC by labeling anyone who disagrees as a "RINO". It's been a downward slide for 25 years.

That would be so based.

Trump is extremely immature and yells, screams and swears at the people in the Whitehouse. He is not in control of his childish emotions ,let alone the staff. He treats world leaders like hired help. I bet almost everyone in his staff secretly hate him for the way he treats people. There will be a plethora of tell all books starting the day he loses. He treats reporters brutally.
Trump is a bad person and a terrible president.

I can't imagine anyone in his cabinet actually likes him.

Pence does a good imitation:

“Thank you for seeing, through the course of this year, an agenda that truly is restoring this country.”

“You've restored American credibility on the world stage.”

“You've unleashed American energy.”

“You've spurred an optimism in this country that's setting records.”

“I’m deeply humbled, as your vice president, to be able to be here."

“Because of your leadership, Mr. President, and because of the strong support of the leadership in the Congress [this was 2017], you're delivering on that middle-class miracle.”

“Mostly, Mr. President, I’ll end where I began and just tell you, I want to thank you, Mr. President. I want to thank you for speaking on behalf of and fighting every day for the forgotten men and women of America.”

“Because of your determination, because of your leadership, the forgotten men and women of America are forgotten no more. And we are making America great again.”

All inside three minutes at a Cabinet meeting. :)

Excellent. I heard Pence speak recently. Basically, Mr Trump is President who resides in the White House and does a job a President does which therefore.....
