IDF attacks have permanently changed the face of Syrian military threat

The Israeli air force's more than 500 attacks on Syria's military assets in a 48-hour period this week since the fall of the Assad regime, have permanently and radically altered the threat that any future Syrian regime can pose to the State of Israel, the IDF said on Thursday.

This means that in the worst-case scenario, if Syria's new rulers, the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), decide to be hostile to Israel, they will not be able to immediately threaten the Jewish state with anywhere near the kind of advanced and long-range weaponry which the Assad regime wielded.

Unveiling a slew of staggering statistics, the IDF noted that it destroyed over 90% of Syria's advanced anti-aircraft missiles, especially the SA22 and SA17 systems, which were sometimes shooting down portions of Israeli attacks on the smuggling of Iranian weapons through the area.

90% of advanced anti-aircraft missiles were destroyed, and SU-22 and SU-24 aircraft squadrons were destroyed. In total, about 85% of Syria's air defenses were destroyed, including less advanced systems.

The Russians are running away. They can't afford to lose more assets.

Following the quick downfall of Syria’s Assad regime, Moscow, which had a fairly large military presence in Syria, has been reevaluating the strategy in the Middle East.
According to a Syrian security official stationed outside Khmeimim Air Base, Russia’s largest air base in Syria, a Russian cargo plane departed from there and flew to Libya on Dec. 14, 2024. Some other flights have been tracked flying back to Russia, while others are flying from Russia to Libya.

Russian troops appear to be dismantling military equipment following Hayat Tahrir al-Sham’s lightning-fast offensive that ousted Bashar al-Assad’s regime.

Syria seems to have been a cornerstone in Vlad's messianic vision of turning Russia into a great global superpower.

Excellent

There is no ' permanence ' in the Middle East- nor anywhere else.
Israel is a temporary wart upon its face. The sands shift with the sun.

Israel is a fascist state. Of course, a colony of the US.

You are diluting and diminishing the definition of fascism.

I'm positive if you were forced to choose to live in real totalitarian states like Russia, China, Iran, Belarus, or to choose Israel you would make a beeline straight for Israel.

You know very little.
