I want a winner, and clearly so does Israel, and Israel expects that winner to be them. Too fucking bad for the Palestinians who chose poorly in terms of who they elected to govern them because Hamas started the current war.

The only election was over 15 years ago. Palestine is not Hamas. Hamas is based in several Middle East countries. They have not been great for Palestine. If Israel was not treating Palestinians so badly, it could have had decent relations. They preferred abusing them and controlling their lives. The war is about Israel controlling other people's lives like tyrants. Hamas reacted.

Gaza is Hamas. They may not dominate elsewhere, but Hamas dominates in Gaza. Hamas built that massive tunnel system. Hamas is the one firing like 90% of the rockets fired on Israel. Hamas planned and orchestrated October 7th.

If the Palestinians didn't hate the Israelis and each other so much, they'd be doing lots better. You can toss in massive corruption with the Palestinians as well. Just remember, the other Arab states don't want the Palestinians living there either. Egypt has their border with Gaza as tightly controlled as Israel. In fact, they've got a 1 to 2 km clear zone on their side to help prevent smuggling tunneling.

Just think of it like this: If Israel didn't exist the Palestinians would be fighting wars with their Arab neighbors. If the Palestinians didn't exist, Israel would have far less need for massive anti-terrorist measures in place.
