It wouldn't do for me to be a liberal...

It really wouldn't! You guys should be thankful I am not leading your idiot parade. It's just that my mind is so much more complex than yours, and my principled pragmatism would certainly get in the way.

For instance, when we start traveling down the path of "equality," we can make everyone's income and wealth the same, we can make sure everyone has the same stuff, the same value home and car, the same health care and education, and everyone would be happy, right? Wrong... because then, there would still be some inequality that would need to be rectified. Some people live longer than others, it's not fair for one person to get an extra 30 years of life that someone else didn't get, is it? Life is a pretty wonderful thing, but to get to enjoy more than your share, well that just can't happen and still be equal, so we would have to start making sure everyone died at age 30. I know there would still be people who died before they reached age 30, but I have that figured out, we make them homosexuals, so they have the 'right' to redefine the meaning of death! Then we prop them up and pretend they are alive until they have been here 30 years like the rest of us.

The next thing would be love and marriage... We could certainly level the playing field a bit by allowing gays to marry, then we would push for polygamy and bestiality to be legitimized as well, eventually we could have total equality in love in marriage, right? Wrong... there are still dog-butt ugly people out there, who can never find anyone to love! It is not fair for gays and perverts to get to experience love and marriage, and ugly people are left out in the proverbial cold, is it? I'm thinking, since we will have made polygamy acceptable, maybe we can force good looking people to marry at least one mutt, and they have to also include them in sex and intimacy, that's the main important thing there. So everyone good looking would have the mate they wanted to marry, as well as the government-assigned ugly person they are also required to wed.

Then there is the issue of discrimination.... this has been with us since the days of old, and it is a problem we would certainly have to tackle in Dixie's Liberal Utopia... It occurs to me, most people are prejudiced and bigoted based on what another person looks like. So, to completely eradicate prejudice, we would have to blind everyone. That way, you wouldn't be able to see the person's skin color, so you wouldn't know you should be prejudiced. Plus, it would certainly help with the Unmarried Mutt problem above.

Oh I have tons of ideas like this, but I won't go into detail here. Just in case I ever decide to turn Liberal, I'll want pinheads to buy my book!
