OK, Trump IS attempting to set this meeting up. If KIM rejects any deal-making regarding getting rid of his nukes, then that's on Kim.

I don't think there was ever an "If" about it TBH. He gets off on trying to make himself look strong by refusing to be seen as yielding. The only way we will effect change is to take him and/or his nuclear sites out. My money is on this being kicked down the road to the next President just like all the previous ones have done.
