The machines can not be used unless they are certified. They can no longer be certified because they were not kept under lock and key as required.

When did you get you become a Federally authorized laboratory authorized to certify voting machines under Federal law?

Help America Vote Act would not allow machines that have been decertified to be used in any election in AZ. When the chain of custody of a voting machine is such that is was not protected from tampering it is decertified. Changing the password doesn't change the law or the decertfication.

Arizona law says that they can't use the machines. The federally authorized company that certifies them says they are no longer certified and can't be recertified.

“On completion of acquisition of machines or devices that comply with HAVA,
machines or devices used at any election for federal, state or county offices may
only be certified for use in this state and may only be used in this state if they
comply with HAVA and if those machines or devices have been tested and
approved by a laboratory that is accredited pursuant to HAVA.” ARIZ. REV.
STAT. § 16-442(B) (2008).

I'm not......I'm just smarter than a federally authorized laboratory because I know there are options other than buying new machines....
