the ability of leftists to hate capitalism from listening to the people who have greatly benefited from capitalism speaks volumes about the idiocy of those leftists.
Major understatement. I think I will go back to reading Pow Wow Chow by Fauxantious.
Leftys do not hate capitalism. Where do you get such a stupid idea? We just want it regulated so it does not just serve the super-wealthy, We want it to do right by the country and treat workers and the planet with respect.
Teddy Roosevelt pointed out the damage that unregulated corporations could and would do. He busted up their monopolies. He installed the inheritance taxes so they would not gain incredible wealth and power over generations. Money=power. He told us about the super-wealthy manipulating the country for their financial advantage.
Corporations have won. They own a major political party and control its voters like children. They bait them into anger and hate against the rest of the population. Keep the people divided and the wealthy will go along with their plans . The super wealthy are not the problem. You guys who are suckered into supporting them are.
Trump does not give a shit about you. Yet you will overthrow the system you pretend to love for him. Don't talk about Trump and patriotism in the same sentence. They do not go together.
Sanders’ popularity and his immense value to the political ecosystem stems
This is pretty stupid, I agree. There are no classes in the first place and there never was any class war.... the class war is over,
Economics is pretty inevitable.that capitalism is as inevitable as the weather,
Markets, stones, skateboards, valleys and other nouns that are not people, cannot have morals. You would be correct that they do not need morals.and that markets don’t need morals,
So I am to just believe that Sanders is popular? Apparently, I am to believe that you can read everyone's minds, which is how you know Sanders is popular. I'll tell you what, I'll just assume that you are a Bernie supporter, albeit only one.

This is great. I get to snipe you ... and you blame someone else. You are very stupid. Stick to one troll name at a time, Intothenight.
Corporations didn't exist when the nation was founded. You don't get to speak for the dead. The founders regulated corporations.
Corporations didn't exist then the nation was founded. They had charters and would revoke them if they did something against the public good.
No, I think you are hallucinating again.I guess you think they were socialists.
Amazing how profoundly ignorant Gardner is. And he claims to have an MA in history. He'd flunk a grade school civics test.
Sure they did...
The first corporation formed in the US were small banking ones that started in 1790 shortly after the Constitution was signed. The Constitution, and federal government, only could regulate certain aspects of a business such as patents and trademarks, interstate commerce, antitrust law, and bankruptcy. There was nothing in it about "public good," and corporations could and did all sorts of things in their best interests, not the public at large.
I know you don't think.
I am smarter and better informed than you.
what is the purpose of anti-trust law if NOT public good?
https://reclaimdemocracy.org/corporate-accountability-history-corporations-us/
Nope. We suffered with corporate power from the Brits and the founders were not giving up their control.
Yes you do.Leftys do not hate capitalism.
You.Where do you get such a stupid idea?
Not capitalism. Capitalism is an economic system. It doesn't require regulation. You are describing socialism. Socialism is not capitalism. We just want it regulated so it does not just serve the super-wealthy, We want it to do right by the country and treat workers and the planet with respect.
You mean the ones that made steel cheaper than ever and more available than ever? You mean the ones that made cars cheaper and more affordable for everyone?Teddy Roosevelt pointed out the damage that unregulated corporations could and would do.
Theft and fascism. He busted up their monopolies.
Theft and communism. He installed the inheritance taxes
Theft and communism. Also unconstitutional.so they would not gain incredible wealth and power over generations.
And you don't have either, whiner.Money=power.
Nope. NONE of them would have succeeded without the public wanting to buy their product. He told us about the super-wealthy manipulating the country for their financial advantage.
Won what? Do they get a cupie doll?Corporations have won.
Corporations don't own any political party. They own a major political party
Corporations don't control voters.and control its voters like children.
You are describing Democrats. They bait them into anger and hate against the rest of the population.
You are describing Democrats.Keep the people divided and the wealthy will go along with their plans.
Paradox. You just denied your own argument. You are being irrational. The super wealthy are not the problem.
You are describing Biden.Trump does not give a shit about you.
The coup was conducted by DEMOCRATS, dude.Yet you will overthrow the system you pretend to love for him.
They certainly do, and I will talk about them in the same sentence. Trump is a patriot. He upholds the Constitution of the United States. It is DEMOCRATS that want to discard and destroy it.Don't talk about Trump and patriotism in the same sentence. They do not go together.
Nah. Corporations aren't ON the civics test. You flunk.
The king of Britain is not a corporation.
It serves no purpose. It does not serve the public good either.
Monopolies are self destructive. It isn't long before another company comes along that does it better and/or cheaper, and winds up shooting the massive, slow moving monopoly in the knee.
Examples:
IBM was a monopoly until Control Data came along and did it better. Later, the personal computer damn near destroyed the company.
Microsoft was never a monopoly. There was always Apple, and now the open source community has moved to Linux. Microsoft has been driven out of the personal entertainment market, the phone market, the automotive market, most of the server market, and is currently losing the desktop market.
European chemical company AGFA had a monopoly on bromine production until DuPont beat them at their own game. The ONLY reason DuPont has a monopoly on refrigerants is because of government fascism. If R12 wasn't outlawed by the government, many other companies are ready to make it (and they do for some markets).
The Big Three automakers (Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge) lost out to many other car companies making better cars.
Amazon invented the Cloud and had a monopoly on it until Microsoft built Azure. Even Google tried to get it into it (and failed rather badly).
Do you know why AWS is the best Cloud service out there? They invented it! People want to use it. The Cloud serves the public! They don't have a monopoly on it.
Sure, there are slimy corporations. That doesn't mean all corporations are slimy. A corporation isn't fascism, even when it's bribing the government. ONLY THE GOVERNMENT CAN IMPLEMENT FASCISM, or anything acting like a government (such as WEC).
NO corporation will last long if IT DOES NOT SATISFY IT'S CUSTOMERS. A corporation MUST serve the public or it goes out of business, just like any business.
Yes you do.
You.
Not capitalism. Capitalism is an economic system. It doesn't require regulation. You are describing socialism. Socialism is not capitalism.
