I am not him...
...and I have no idea of why you think I sound like him.
First of all...I am a capitalist. I want capitalism to succeed. I want capitalism to lead us into the kind of society humanity needs to exist in a technologically advanced age.
There are modifications that have to be made to the kind of absurd capitalism we Americans have adopted...and some of those modifications will come from a socialistic perspective.
In the meantime, if you want to think I am nuts...be my guest. It is your right to do so...at least for now. If that abomination you support gets his way, though, there may come a day where your right to that kind of choice will be restricted.
Thanks for the opportunity to adapt that thought to this new issue.
First, I said you sound "a lot" (meaning modestly) like him, not that you were him.
I've said it before, every president in my voting lifetime has implemented, or tried
to implement policies I agreed with
and disagreed with. That is a fact.
I doubt that trend will change anytime soon. I survived them all, apparently you
did as well, no? We'll survive Trump, too.
I am a machinist, the automation changes that have occurred in my profession
have been drastic since I started 40+ years ago. CNC machinery has all but
eliminated the number of production machine operators needed back then.
Robotics has also eliminated the need for many CNC operators (parts changers)
as well. That costs jobs. I've been fortunate to be very good at manual machining
and also acceptable at CNC programming, but unfortunately it is all but impossible
to keep up with all the new programming "languages." I surely don't "know it all" and
never will. What I used to enjoy doing has become overwhelming because of all the
technological advancements. It's burned me out. There are very few schools who
teach manual machining anymore and that's how repair and prototype parts are made.
You know, maybe if you would quit insulting those of us who reply to you, you might
just get respectable replies. Think about it.
