What's to like about the Saudi monarchy? They're a repressive authoritarian society with an egregious human rights record, one of the worst in the world, plus they the control women and treat them like dirt.

Personally, I can't defend the Ivanka donation OR the Hillary donation. What I commented on though, is that the left is going to have Saudi in their cross hairs now, since they got along with Trump. Of course the left is going to forget about the standard that Hillary set. I assert that the outrage from the left about the Ivanka donation is as politically motivated as the dismissal of the donation by righties. We are in a political civil war you know...

There is a bit more to this. There is a difference between the Clinton foundation and the World Bank, they are apples and oranges. I still don't like how the Ivanka donation smells, but from what I can see, it looks less likely that Ivanka could live a 90 million dollar lifestyle with the funds, compared to what Hillary would do with it. Remember how the Clinton foundation handles hurricane victim funds? How much control and access to the 100 mil does Ivanka have?

It is not politically correct to make broad sweeping generalizations about cultures, but have you noticed how the treatment of women manifests in Muslim run countries over the span of time? Perhaps it may be worth watching this Ivanka "inspired" fund over some time, and see if the gesture by the Saudis turns out to be a better thing than what the left is wanting to make it? It is meant to benefit women and all... We might be wise I were to remain pessimistic about the nature of the donation, and you were to keep the door open that it could be something good.
