A little vinegar

I've got to try my hand at it since he likes it so much. Me, not so much. I make egg drop (egg flower) soup for me. Taught myself how to make several Asian dishes, American restaurant style, during the pandemic when everything was shuttered, or we didn't want to be in restaurants.

Steamed Asparagus

Olive oil, salt, pepper and lemon are all of the ingredients you need to make easy-to-steam asparagus.

Yes, and thanks for posting this IMPORTANT INFORMATION!

I'm in the same boat!

A good trick I learned is to eat your oxalate foods with a calcium-rich food. If you eat them together they supposedly molecularly bind in the stomach instead of in your kidneys. If it works or not, I can't say.

That looks easy... thanks! Saved it in my recipes folder. Mr. Owl's been asking for fried rice (which we have as the main course rather than as a side). I'm a bit alarmed at the tablespoon of siracha though. Might cut that down a bit. lol

Have you found a use for that saffron I got you for Christmas? If not, I have a recipe you might like. https://dinnerthendessert.com/persian-rice/ It's decently healthy so I might as well post it here.

I found this recipe. https://foodandjourneys.net/filipino-garlic-fried-rice-sinangag/#recipe It's not exactly healthy but it is good enough to work off of. Maybe if I use brown rice.

Thanks. I got the recipe I use from a cooking blog written by ppl who used to have a Chinese restaurant. The fried rice is amazing and tastes just like the restaurant kind, even has that hint of a smoky flavor, which they call "wok hei." I use jasmine rice, and leave out the turmeric because I don't like the yucky insipid-looking yellow coloring that Asian buffets give their fried rice. Brown is good!

Here's their recipe for shrimp fried rice. They have dozens more.

I tried the smoothie recipe I posted. It's good but isn't worth all the prep—just my opinion.
