“If you are a dad, I pray you will protect your little girls from men who walk in unannounced, unzip their pants and urinate in front of them,” he said. “If this had happened 100 years ago, someone might have been shot. Where is today’s manhood?"

Seems pretty clear what conclusions Dobson was drawing.

I don't know about that, many people I know who call themselves Christians do not believe that. I don't believe that. I believe you die with the mindset you lived with, if its fear based.. its not very heaven like, if its love based... its heavenly.

No one lives a life of perfect love. If disciplining your children is fear based and not Christian then there are no Christians by your definition.

I mean hell (no pun intended), look at you on this board with 'Dangerous Don' and 'he will hurt this country' etc. All fear based. That's not love. So you aren't a Christian based on your definition.

There are different types of discipline. Hitting them is fear based. Do you believe the only type of discipline is hitting?
 
Pointing out defects in a political candidate is not necessary fear based. Describing to your children what is right and wrong is not fear based. Sending children to their room is not necessary fear based. Providing consequences for children is not necessarily fear based.

Spanking is pretty prevalent in the black community. There's a long history of it going back to slavery where parents would hit their kids to teach them not to act a certain way around their master's.

Lot easier for well to do white people to say blacks aren't Christian because they spank right?
