It was the only one they could afford.... It was called "The Torah" and it included all the history of the world in 5 little books.... All the rest of the "history" books were just cleverly written science fiction...

You know how expensive Papyrus could get back then...
 
LOL at Damo, where I grew up no one had even heard of the torah.
We were mostly of poor french and british isle stock.
