Because from one second to the next, Biden contradicts himself in that speech. America's strength lies in it's people but only if those people see themselves as Americans and unique because of that. When you have a people divided by race, ethnicity, language, and culture, you no longer have a nation.
America is unique in taking people from everywhere on the planet and molding them into Americans. Multiculturalism and the like, are divisive. Diversity of culture, language, and emphasis on ethnicity and race are dividing not uniting.
