John Wayne, John Wayne Gacy

I see, the Goddess of Gaffe's latest howler isn't funny, or significant, and nobody cares about it much?

That explains why you keep posting defenses.

Dance...

I'm waiting for an actually funny post. I'll even give ya a "Thanks" for it. You know I will, I've given them in the past, even to you, Rootbeer.

I like funny, and I find it extremely ironic (and a bit funny, now howl out loud, but a bit), that the author trying to "get" her was flat wrong on her own trivia...

It made me kind of grin a bit.

What's funny is your compulsive defense of a proven liar. Not funny "ha-ha", though.

I enjoy watching you dance. Keep it up.

So, pointing out that the person who wrote the article is as wrong as Michelle Bachmann as to where people were born is "defense"? Interesting.

Tell me about Weiner again. It's political message board bacon...

I've never known you to be so....diligent (not to say 'fixated) on correcting a post. BTW, I called Nige on it first.

Tell me what you think of the Gaffe Goddess's lies instead...

Here are a few, if you can spare the time to glance at 'em.

If you can't, because you're too busy dancing, I'll understand.

A post? I am pointing out that, ironically (and a bit funny as well), the author of an article made the exact same mistake about a different historical figure.

Your definition of "defend" is interesting. Tell me how pointing out that somebody who wrote an article, which a poster quoted and then repeated, was just as factually incorrect as Sen. Bachmann was "defending" anything? It is, in fact, using factual information to point out an extremely ironic mistake.

So you are saying she is not a moron?

No, it is not that particular factiod that is important, what is important is that she knows what she is talking about. Which she does not. Clearly. The presently incorrect factiod merely points to that. Again.

No ....she is certainly not a moron.....its more likely you are a moron....

And is it important to you ... that Obama knows what he's is talking about?
Mr. 57 states....Mr. Corpsemen....Mr. Austrian language....

Obama seems to be a bigger dipshit moron than you and Mr. Groan combined.....

John Wayne's parents met and lived in Waterloo, Iowa.........

Its silly ot make an issue of this, now other things she has said that indicate a severe lack of understanding of American History do bother me.

Whats silly is she was talking about John Wayne....she never mentioned John Gacy and wasn't talking about him at all....

John Waynes parents met and lived in Waterloo and it was normal to assume he was with his parents.....
so to even claim their was a gaffe is just another pathetic attempt by the liberals to smear women as less than intelligent....but with their experience with women, I can understand the attitude....

Must......defend.........Republican........must.....defend......Republican....

You DO see the comedy in your post do you not?

Given that you are not likely intelligent enough to recognize it.... let me point it out.

LIKE a CHILD, you make fun of their names, because you think you are being humorous, you are not. You are being childish.

It IS quite telling how many on the left will openly bash the hell out of every WOMAN that stands up for nomination. How very misogynistic of you.

It had never occurred to me to be humourous. Those people are not for real after all, they are a creation of a disillusioned Disney employee, are they not?
Your politics are strange, of that there is no doubt, and then into the 'fray' you toss made up people saying things that could be easily bettered by Yogi Bear.
If you are going to make up 'stupid' people, surely you can do better than that! Plain failed for chrissakes. Now forget about it. Don't try again with the same product.

John Wayne was born Marion Robert Morrison in Winterset, Iowa.

John Wayne Gacy was born on March 17, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois.

Michele Bachmann misstated Iowa (and Hollywood) history when she said John Wayne was from Waterloo, Iowa, but she may have been thinking of Wayne's parents, who had at least a brief connection to the town. From the biography, "John Wayne: American":

Clyde [Wayne's father] was twenty and Molly [his mother] was nineteen when they met. She fell in love with him because he was kind, handsome and well educated. He would, she thought, be easy to live with and a good provider. They had not dated long and did not know each other very well, but Clyde was about to take a job at a pharmacy in Waterloo, Iowa, and they decided to get married. Rather than bother with a church wedding, they eloped, traveling to Knoxville, in Marion County, where Justice of the Peace I.H. Garrison married them on September 29, 1905. They made their first home in Waterloo …

The instability that stalked them for the rest of their time together appeared early. They both wanted to leave Waterloo and get closer to their parents. Molly was emotionally tied to her mother and father, as was Clyde to his family. Waterloo was more than 115 miles from Des Moines and 150 miles from Indianola … Winterset, the county seat of Madison County, was about 35 miles from Des Moines and only 20 miles from Indianola, perfect for both of them. They rented a small frame house on South Second Street in Winterset and started a new life there.

That doesn't change the fact that Wayne's birthplace was in Winterset, but it does take some of the air out of the more comical explanation for Bachmann's gaffe: that she was thinking of Waterloo native and serial killer John Wayne Gacy when she made the comment. We report; you decide.

Thank you for once again demonstrating what a pathetic little child you are. I could care less if you think Palin was a failure, I happen to agree with that position. That doesn't change the fact that you look completely RETARDED when you call her "Plain". Let me guess, you think you are being 'clever'.... don't you?

Thank you for your compliments, young man. However allow me, if you will, to help you with a couple of points. You say 'I could care less ...' I think you mean that you COULD NOT care less. Your statement indicates some care. Do you see?
What is wrong with 'Plain'? I have all the right letters, don't I? I just choose to present them in an order that annoys you.
Oh, and one last thing. I don't THINK I am clever, I AM clever. Incedibly, mind numbingly, fantastically clever. Of course I'm using you as a yardstick.
What do you think of Mdme. Christine Lagarde? She is clever too, and certainly not plain.
Good night.
