he Pentagon’s top uniformed official on Tuesday maintained that available evidence indicates the virus that has caused a global pandemic was natural and not man-made or released purposely from a Chinese lab.

“The weight of evidence — nothing’s conclusive — the weight of evidence is that it was natural and not man-made,” Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Army Gen. Mark Milley said of the coronavirus.

“The second issue is, was it accidentally released, did it release naturally into the environment or was it intentional? We don’t have conclusive evidence in any of that, but the weight of evidence is that it was probably not intentional,” he told reporters at the Pentagon.

Milley added that “various agencies, both civilian and U.S. government, are looking at” the issue of where the virus originated.

The Trump administration this month stepped up efforts to blame China for the pandemic, with top officials including President Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo pushing the unverified theory that the virus was created by Chinese researchers or accidentally released by a lab in Wuhan, China, where it was being studied.

Trump, who has come under consistent scrutiny for his own slow response to the virus domestically, has repeatedly accused China of covering up the outbreak and claimed there is significant evidence that the virus emanated from a Wuhan lab — though has not actually provided any evidence.

I am sure intrepid rightwing bloggers will reject these conclusions, and continue to relentlessly pursue the truth about the covert Chinese biological warfare being employed against us.

Fresh off their successful campaign to blow the cover off Hillary Clinton's pizza parlor sex trafficking operation, I think we can expect big things out of these stalwart rightwing investigative citizen-journalists

When you consider that these folks ACTUALLY believed that Mexico was going to pay for a border wall, we can certainly expect the most bizare and entertaining of trumpanzee responses.
 
Well many of them have since "revised" their opinions on that, they were never wrong though, they assure you.......

the genius in orange was merely speaking metaphorically, they would spiritually pay a yuge, yuge bigly big price & they are paying via the great deal trump made..(just like really meant all along...:laugh: )

Most rightwingers on this forum have falsely accused Joe Biden of sexually molesting children in full view of their parents and TV cameras. So the rightwing knows no boundaries

Until I went message boarding, I had no idea actually how many conservative dudes have no ethical restraint from spreading false accusations of sexual molestation and harassment. That has to fall somewhere on the bad karma scale.
 
The rightys do not even know when they are being clownish. Corona's origin is well known. It was reported immediately. But , as usual, a righty floated a conspiracy theory and Trumps jumped on board. The reds have no resistance. They flee logic and common sense as soon as a conspiracy arises.
China released the DNA of the virus so anyone could work on a cure. They put it online. We had 6 people inside China working for the WHO. Of course, Trump got rid of them, but by then they had already informed us of what was coming.
Trump blew it bigly.
 
I don't think saying it was mistakenly contracted by a worker in a research lab is the same thing as saying it was manufactured there.

It wasnt near this bad before tRump came into the picture. Before, the Conservatives kept their racial tendencies in the "closet". With a racist POTUS, they feel emboldened to be more "outward".

If by "revised", you mean that they now lie about it, I will agree. That said, the fact that they were stupid enough to believe it to begin with is telling.

Pompeo used to be head of the CIA, wouldn't he know a lot more than many? It only a theory but it needs to be investigated thoroughly The Chinese always act as if they have something to hide, it's an ingrained behaviour. I think this is a fateful moment in history, when the West finally realised that you just can't trust the CCP and companies need to find alternate suppliers worldwide.

Point 1, SARS-CoV-2 is an RNA based virus not DNA.

Point 2, the structure of the protein spikes which were obtained by X-ray crystallography and the details weren't published until 19th February in Science. Until that was known it was not possible to begin development of a vaccine
