The federal judge presiding over Donald Trump’s indictment for allegedly mishandling classified documents has scheduled his trial to start in late May of next year, rejecting claims by the former president’s attorneys that a fair trial could only be held after the 2024 election, as well as the Justice Department’s request to start in December.

Hate is a strong word, I've always preferred Aristocracy or any ideology with a single leader.

As long as there is a reasonable way to remove that leader if you get a bad one.

I think as the founders do, that people are generally stupid and can't make the right decisions.

Hence our electoral system among other things.

Got to say it would have been interesting if the Congress didn’t reconvene that day, Trump certainly would have declared Martial Law, “postponed” the results of the election, and who knows where he would have gone for there

And all the GOP, MAGA militia, and Fox would have defending him blindly no matter what he did
