Since when did judges, any judge, in the US--unelected public servants--become the final arbiter on everything with the law? Are you good with some unelected judge deciding on a whim to do something or rule something illegal? Are you good with an unelected judge in some lower court deciding national and even international policy for the nation?

Not true. But do try to prove it. For example, the Supreme Court shouldn't be able to make law based on a case before them. They can rule some law isn't Constitutional, but it is then up to Congress to fix that problem, not the courts.
It was NEVER Constitutional for the courts to intervene in the foreign affairs of the nation either, and it sure as hell isn't something some district judge at the lowest rung of the federal courts ladder can be doing.
Because the Supreme Court is not Congress.

Wow! You got that right. Although, the Supreme Count has tried to be on occasion like in ruling abortion is legal nationwide in Roe v. Wade. That was for Congress to decide, and rightfully a later Supreme Court tossed that ruling out.
