Yes. So he'll be in solitary, or in the protected wing. He's still in jail, and will fear for his life just the same. Pretty sure black guards saw him kneeling on Floyd for almost ten minutes.

Hopefully pending federal cases against the savage Chauvin will ensure the punishment fits the crime as in no good ole boy treatment, which should add a substantial amount of time beyond this ridiculous 22.5 year state sentence when it should have been 25 years to life.

The idiot didn't care that he was on video. He chose to murder his victim.

The fact that so many cops testified against him spoke volumes. This was a first.

Possibly more like 15 or even less.

Minnesota has a sentencing guideline in which only 2/3 of prison sentences are served behind bars with the remaining being served on community based probation.

Then there is also good behavior etc.

He could conceivably be out in 13 or 14 years.

Since 1993, Minnesota laws requires what’s called determinate sentencing.

Two-thirds of the sentence is served in prison, while the last one-third is supervised release, or parole.

Could be. Perhaps not. I think the vast majority of people who saw the video agree that Chauvin is a murderer. He tortured a guy to death. That's worse than just shooting him for a routine traffic stop.

The only people who try to argue that Floyd deserved it, are those who watch Fox News and accept it as gospel. Annoise is a perfect example.

Everyone else knows that this murderer showed no contrition, and would do it again if he had the chance.

By that time he will have been convicted in the federal trial as well. He might never see the light of day again.

I wonder if any of those people getting excited over Chauvin's sentence, have given even a single thought to all those who've lost their lives in the aftermath of canonisation of Saint George? Still all the Swellies aka Smug White Liberals will have had their guilt assuaged for now.
