Just imagine this

Taichiliberal

Shaken, not stirred!
Okay, say you own a business. You get a phone call one day from a foreign character who says he's got the goods on one of your contract competitors, and inside information that can put your stock through the roof.. So you say, "sounds good" and go to meet the guy at a hotel. Later, you get a visit from the FBI and a subpoena.....seems they had this foreigner on their radar, and they want to know why YOU agreed to discuss what is painfully obvious a shady deal.

Your defense: well, his information was garbage, so I declined to act on it.

Now if the general public knew of this, would they have the same level of trust in your business as before? Would you, as a potential investor, or advertiser or general customer?

EVEN IF IT WAS ONE OF YOUR EXECS THAT DID SUCH A THING, AND YOU DID NOT FIRE THEM?

Sound familiar, MAGA hat wearers?

Patriotic American response: Never, ever, under any circumstances work with Kremlin agents to dig up dirt on American political opponents, nor beg Russian state security services on national television to hack the computers of an American political opponents.

Trump supporter response: Collusion is not illegal!! And what about Benghazeeeeeee!?

Imagine this; meeting someone who claims they have dirt on your political opponents is not against the law.

Imagine this; after an exhaustive two year investigation, there was no collusion and no obstruction.

Imagine this, actually dealing with facts instead of innuendo, hyperbole and lies.

P.S. Your use of an illegal act like insider trading is a strawman; Trump has not been charged with anything illegal.

Yet you are okay with Hillary Clinton's collusion with Russians over a fake dossier. STFU, seriously.

Trump supporter response: Collusion is not illegal!!

Are you trying to say it is illegal? How?

And what about Benghazeeeeeee!

Doesn't the deaths of Americans warrant oversight by the House? You don't think it does? How so?

Just to pull the rug out from your response......if you check the rules and regulations (the LAW), it is illegal for a foreign entity to interfere on ANY level with our political electorate and process. Like it or not, the Orange Oaf's son, a MAJOR member of his campaign, did just what is described in the OP.

I recall folk like you wailing like stuck pigs over a Chinese contributor to the Al Gore campaign awhile back. Pity the same attitude isn't put to the current White House occupiers.

CRAP.

Here I thought, from your title, that you were going to be announcing your upcoming suicide. :palm:

It may not be against the law, but I suppose as a political tradition, one doesn't usually meet to get this aid when it is being offered by a foreign entity with a history of being antagonistic toward the United States, and to express eagerness and urgency to obtain this information says even more about the parties involved. And it is not a singular event

And this line, "dealing with facts instead of innuendo, hyperbole and lies," is classic, pure vintage coming from a conservative whose party has been doing anything but "dealing with facts instead of innuendo, hyperbole and lies" for the last decade and more

"But it is not against the law," that's the usual rationalization, "it's not illegal," seemingly a common denominator in justifying anything Trump does

Ethics are litigated in a court of law, but most people would agree cheating on one's wife when she is at home pregnant isn't exactly the principled thing to do. Abortion isn't against the law, but I guarantee the vast majority of those we here "it ain't illegal" to justify Trump's behavior would agree that abortion isn't proper

Ethics are subjective.

Just look at liberals for negative examples. :;good4u:

Of course they are, but quite a few are based upon societal consensus, and last I knew eagerly looking for help from a nation that has a rich history of being antagonistic toward the United States ain't exactly illustrious, hell, not that long ago your side would have labeled such activity unAmerican

No he did not, no matter how much you kick and scream that he did. It is a moronic narrative much like the Russia collusion hoax you morons bloviated and salivated over for two fucking years.

You're not smart enough to let it go however. Like Shifty Adam Schift, you want to double down on your insanity.

I recall folk like you wailing like stuck pigs over a Chinese contributor to the Al Gore campaign awhile back. Pity the same attitude isn't put to the current White House occupiers.

The only dunces who wail like stuffed pigs are liberal dunces like you. You hypocrites need to learn how to STFU lest you make yourselves look even more asinine.....but that would require an IQ above room temperature.

It may not be against the law, but I suppose as a political tradition,

If it is not illegal, then perhaps you morons with TDS should just STFU then.

If that is your issue, you better start calling Hillary out then. Hers is the ONLY campaign who colluded with foreign powers in the creation of a fake and salacious document intended to destroy her opponents campaign....What are you waiting for????!!! GO.

And this line, "dealing with facts instead of innuendo, hyperbole and lies," is classic, pure vintage coming from a conservative whose party has been doing anything but "dealing with facts instead of innuendo, hyperbole and lies" for the last decade and more

Dear idiot; we are the ONLY ones dealing in facts. It's morons like you who wanted to believe in the asinine narrative that Trump was elected because of Russian collusion.

And how is it ethical to attempt to destroy a SC nominee and then let "the letter" be leaked.

Like I said, "subjective".

You really are too stupid to comprehend how dumb you sound. Yeah, it isn't illegal, therefore, stop whining you morons.

Nothing suggests profound irony better than dishonest, partisan assholes on the left lecturing ANYONE about ethics.

You must be talking about Obama here.

President Obama looks to a new future of partnership with Russia during his trip to Moscow last week. Watch highlights and behind-the-scenes footage of his visit.
