I have to wonder just how many Americans are aware that Paul Manafort, Trumps onetime campaign manager who's now on trial for alleged tax evasion and other alleged crimes stemming from his actions in 2005 by Special Council Robert Muller's alleged investigation into Russian meddling in America's elections?

I have to wonder how many Americans know or even care that none of this trial has anything to do with Russian meddling in America's elections and it's simply a blatant set up to squeeze Manafort criminally and financially to cop a plea and reveal or compose a crime by Trump so Muller can frame Trump and set him up for impeachment?

I have to wonder just how many Americans know or even care that Manafort faces 300 years in prison, while tax evasion is usually a 3 year or so sentence but Muller has enough alleged charges against Manafort to prosecute and persecute him for the crime of association with Trump? Even the trial judge has noted Mullers obsession with framing Trump by squeezing Manafort

You are not well. Hillary was investigated 7 times for Benghazi and 4 more for emails, Results, innocent., If they had anything to pin on her, anything at all, she would have been charged. You dorks that call her a crook are merely showing your innability to discern facts.

And Hillary has nothing to do with Manafort, who is charged with bank fraud, tax evasion and probably money laundering. Can you explain the connection to what he likely did, and what Hillary did not do.

Should we just close down the court systems in the US until hillary passes away?

The financial charges in Manafort's case go to establish the motive for why he did what he did. Manafort was working with shady Russians for money.

The actual facts are Hillary would be in jail for a very long time if she weren't a bleeping leftist politician and the left's dream first woman President. The only reason she's not is Jim Comey believes he's America's God of patriotism and he was saving the nation from any possibility of Trump becoming President. His failure was he had to tell some representation of the truth about Madam Hillary's treasonous illegal insecure email server being highly incompetent and dangerous for the country. Any other person on earth aside from a Democrat's candidate for the Presidency would be in jail and the key in the middle of an ocean.

Manafort did work for pro-Russian Ukrainians during Obama's terms in office, in concert with the lobbying firm co-founded by Hillary's campaign manager.

Mueller referred lobbyists, including Tony Podesta, to Manhattan prosecutors. Authorities are looking into whether they failed to register their work lobbying for a nonprofit linked to the Ukrainian government.

How a prominent DEMOCRAT lobbyist got swept up in Mueller's Russia probe

Tony Podesta stepped down from his lobbying firm after it was found to be in violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act.

A big-shot lobbyist and DEMOCRAT donor has gotten caught up in special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation because of his firm's ties to the lobbying organization led by Paul Manafort.

Tony Podesta, who stepped down from his position as the head of the lobbying firm the Podesta Group, worked with Manafort's lobbying firm that had sought to ease the Obama administration's tough stance toward Ukraine's Russian-backed government.

He is now being investigated by Mueller for failing to properly disclose these efforts to regulators. The Mueller investigation had initially only delved into the Podesta Group's activities to gather facts on Manafort, but then began to investigate the Podesta Group itself after it became apparent that it had failed to disclose that it was lobbying in the US on behalf of a foreign actor, a violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). Manafort and his business associate Rick Gates were also charged with failing to disclose their activities to FARA regulators, in addition to several other federal offenses.

According to Manafort's indictment , he and Gates created a think tank in Brussels, Belgium called the European Centre for a Modern Ukraine (ECMU), which then solicited lobbying services from two companies that were only identified in the indictment documents as companies "A" and "B." The companies were later revealed to be the Podesta Group and Mercury Public Affairs.

Manafort used the Podesta Group and Mercury as part of a two-pronged strategy he was pursuing as a consultant for the Ukrainian Party of Regions, which was the ruling party during the tenure of ousted Russian-backed Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych. Because Manafort had been initially hired to elect Yanukovych, once he achieved this in 2010, he began a campaign to legitimize him in the eyes of the US and the European Union.
