K Harris can just declare Biden won

I think no one ever thought Pense could simply declare Trump the winner of the election over Joe Biden, but he could have disallowed enough Electoral votes to throw the election into the House of Representatives...where the NEW congress would elect the next president.

Each state would get one vote...and since there are more red states than blue...Trump would have been elected.

All Harris would be able to do if Trump got more Electoral votes than Joe Biden would be to disallow enough Electoral votes to throw the election into the House.

Trump would win...so, unfortunately, the scenario proposed in the OP cannot happen.

Fact is, I think the GOP is going to base their campaign on getting the election thrown into the House. They are a disgusting mess...an insult to our nation.

If they win, however, they will have won legally...just like Hitler did back in mid-20th Century Germany.
 
I have yet to see any evidence that our founders didn't write a genuinely stupid constitution.

I don't give a shit about the inspiring preamble or the well-intentioned amendments.

The new form of government that they created within the main articles has proven itself to be a disaster.

Even the union that they created between ideologically incompatible former colonies
seems subject to question as far as I'm concerned.

Today, Massachusetts belongs in the same nation as Texas and Florida as much as
Bob Cousy belonged on the same team as Ted Williams.

add that to the inability to give a speech that has more than 30 different words in it and we're so all over her:) And she's accomplished nothing in almost 4 years...how is that even possible?

In the 1960s it was the Republicans who were pro-government, pro-Law & Order, while the Democrats were anti-government. Funny how both sides have flip-flopped.

It was only a few years ago that Republicans were pro-personal accountability and pro-small government. Now they've reversed themselves on both accounts.

Notice that if Trump, as President, ordered SEAL Team Six to kill Biden and other Democrats, the MAGAts would support it but if Biden did the same against Trump and his MAGAt traitors, shrill screaming would come from the MAGAts.

Wrong. trump's team is arguing before the Supreme Court that POTUS can get away with murder as long as he isn't convicted in the Senate after impeachment.

In a way, I'm hoping they rule in his favor.

Notice that there would be gunfire if either gave an order like that. They wouldn't need SEAL Team 6 to accomplish it anyway.

I always thought the Teabaggers and MAGA's claims to revere the Constitution sounded phony.

If Trump had successfully executed a military coup in January 2021, half the MAGA morons here on JPP would have cheered it on :cheer:, and the other half would fail to oppose it, giving tacit approval in effect.

The Tea Party started off as a good idea and was backlash against an increasingly authoritarian socialist state led by the Clintons*. It changed direction when it went national and wealthy forces took control because they held the purse strings. IMO, that's when it went looney. The MAGAts are an evolutionary step from the national Tea Party. Consider that the Occupy Movement died precisely because it refused to go national out of concern over similar forces taking control of the movement.

Agreed about MAGAts supporting an autocratic state which rounded up Mexicans, Muslims and Liberal into camps out in the Western US deserts.
