Kamala Admitted to Law School Through ‘Adverse Experiences’ Program, Though Parents Were Tenured Professors

If elected, Harris would be the first president to personally experience school desegregation and busing — one of the most tumultuous and important chapters of American history. By contrast, in the 1950s, former president Donald Trumpattended a private school in Queens that did not admit its first Black student until the late 1960s, a school official said.
Berkeley high school was desegregated long before Kamala started the 1st grade. The elementary schools were segregated in the sense that the neighborhoods they were in tended to be segregated except for a few families. There was no resistance to busing that achieved a more representative racial blend of students. As a result busing began a year before Kamala went to school . Black and white students were both busted as tens of thousands of students are everyday of the school year. Berkeley is hardly a racist area.
