When people work hard and fail to advance, they need someone to blame. If we accurately blamed the ruling capitalists, they’d be out of power before they even knew what was happening. So we’re told to blame literally anyone else for our problems.

“Are you a man whose hard work isn’t leading to riches? It’s because women are competing for your job!”

“You’re a white man and you feel your wages are low? Blame the non-white people willing to work for less than you!”

“Born here and out of a job? That immigrant took it from you!”

“The system is coming apart, making your life harder every day, and you don’t understand why? It’s God’s wrath because you don’t hate LGBT people enough!”

We are being manipulated, every single day, by the rich and powerful to blame other oppressed people for our problems.
