BREAKING: WILDFIRES RAGE IN CALIFORNIA

Evacuation orders for the Palisades Fire have now spread to northern Santa Monica, including all areas north of San Vicente Boulevard.

Officials warn of an "immediate threat to life," urging residents to LEAVE NOW as the fire, fueled by extreme winds, grows toward 3,000 acres.

Santa Monica residents were previously warned to prepare, but now mandatory evacuations are in effect.

Stay alert and follow all evacuation orders.

The inability to fly under these conditions is a lesson in humility against the fury of fire.

The Palisades Fire, now at 2,920 acres, is poised to worsen as winds intensify overnight, with isolated gusts of up to 100 mph forecasted in mountains and foothills.

Mandatory evacuation zones continue to expand east and north, with officials urging residents to monitor alerts and prepare to leave.

This Santa Ana windstorm is the strongest Southern California has seen in over a decade, fueling a firestorm officials call "extremely dynamic."

The Palisades Fire is ripping through five football fields per minute, fueled by winds of 60-80 mph.

The blaze has surpassed 2,900 acres, with no end in sight.

Meanwhile, the Eaton Fire in the San Gabriel Mountains has doubled to 400 acres in two hours.

Wednesday brings more 60+ mph gusts and “extremely critical fire weather” for LA and Ventura Counties.

California AG Rob Bonta issued a strong warning against price gouging as evacuees flee the 2,900-acre Palisades Fire.

Raising prices on essentials like shelter, gas, and food by over 10% during a state of emergency is illegal under state law.

Bonta:“If you see or experience price gouging, file a complaint with my office immediately."

Gov. Newsom and L.A. Mayor Karen Bass declared states of emergency to bolster firefighting and recovery efforts.
