Insanity is repeating the same thing over and over again expecting different results. How long have Democrats been trying to ban guns? Is the nation one step closer to a gun ban than in 1992? Short answer; No.Just goes to prove once again nearly anyone who wants a gun in America can get a gun, there are more guns out there than people, plus close to a million new ones manufactured every year, not even counting imports, and access is easy, even whatever this person is suppose to be can get one to shoot up a church
The right doesn’t see a problem, in fact, their recommendation is we need more guns, and easier access to more guns
And the insanity continues
Better to alter the strategy and focus upon better mental health care and mental health testing in schools. After a few years, push to make it part of annual physicals and employment or insurance applications.
Once mental health testing is accepted by the majority of the public, and the benefits understood, then start applying the results of test in practical matters. Due to privacy laws, legislation needs to be enacted to prevent misuse, but if a person is diagnosed as violently mentally unstable, it would be good if their name popped up on a background check as not being eligible to buy a gun. Such a system would need both oversight and a well-defined means of being removed from the list.
