Los Angeles police said that while the protests have mostly been peaceful, some violence has occurred. Several officials have rebuffed the president's intervention, saying they have it handled.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said she feels the city is being used as a "test case for what happens when the federal government moves in and takes the authority away from the state, or away from local government."

In Los Angeles, 50 people were arrested between Saturday and Monday morning, the LAPD said. Los Angeles Police Chief Jim McDonnell has said the department supports the First Amendment right to assemble.

"Those who choose to incite violence, engage in vandalism or graffiti, and/or attack officers will be arrested," he said Monday. "There's no tolerance for criminal activity under the guise of protest."

Exactly, prior to Trump’s power play, there didn’t exist anything close to resembling an “invasion, rebellion, or danger of rebellion” as cited for causes necessary under the Insurrection Act

This is just Trump testing the waters while creating a major deflection off his continuous fuck ups, when in need, turn to the immigration armageddon playbook, plus it lets him play tough guy instead of his TACO reality

Imagine what he had ready if Pence hadn’t done the right thing in 1/6

So every time a federal crime is committed anywhere Trump is justified sending in the Marines and Army?

Numerous States have violated Federal Law by legalizing marijuana, how come Trump hasn’t invaded those States
