Large majority of democrats are racist

I'm puzzled. While there are and have been racists in both parties, how can anyone claim that the "majority" of a party are racists without some sort of corroborating evidence which can be impartially verified?

I don't see that in this debate.

but, but my friends from alaska!!!!!!!

I truly have to agree and I am guilty of generalizations, it is mostly to incite a reaction. My family is full of Republicans and they are not racist by a long shot, it is also unfair to say the majority of people are racist. I don't truly believe that either, but to deny that there are prejudices and that we all have them is just a lie. I do see more racists claiming to be Republicans. Now, all my commence to beat me about the head.

My generalizations are just to start conversations, but often end up inflaming people and I should not do that, or at least include a smiley face! I also make comments to cawacko that are sarcastic, it is hard to display sarcasm on here at times.

thanks for admitting this rana

I am sure that is how you see it, but I think there are many people who disagree with you.

There are always people who abuse the system, but for the most part, the programs have benefited a group of people who needed a hand up!
This is not about those who take advantage of the various assistance programs. It is about the system of assistance programs taking advantage of the people it supposedly serves. It's the reason someone making $X/mo income can get $300 in food stamps, but someone making ($X+100)/mo can only get $150, and someone making (X+200)/mo is completely disqualified. And even when these disparities are (supposedly) addressed, they keep assistance programs separate: housing separate from food separate from education. Make an extra $100/mo and lose $150 in food assistance, $200 in housing assistance, and $100 in education assistance. So what do people do? Sit at home those extra 10 hours/week they could be working, thus keeping their extra assistance, and blame big business (Prompted by democratic rhetoric) that those extra 10 hours work don't result in $500/mo instead of a measly $100.

The programs are NOT a hand "up". Nor are they as simple as a hand out. They are designed as a deliberate trap to create a dependency on government that is difficult to break, and sweeten the pot by offering more programs of the same type. They take advantage of problems such as the economic disparity caused racism of the 50s and before, and, quite literally, USE the people who have need of assistance to build their power. THAT is how the democratic party builds their voting base.

Then they use fear mongering and outright lies ("The big bad republicans are going to cut you off!" "The big bad republicans don't like your skin color!" "The big bad republicans want to bring back slavery!") to KEEP their voting base.

The fact is, success, which in turn would lead to economic independence, is the LAST thing the democrats want for us. No, they want us dependent on government, giving those who control government power over our lives, even as they proclaim to protect our freedoms.

It's the reason we see the race card played constantly - fear mongering. It's the reason they promote racism in government policy under the guise of "leveling the playing field". (Tell me, why do poor Blacks, Hispanics, and/or Native Americans need more assistance programs than equally poor whites?)

Aren't most recipients of government aid Caucasian?

39% white 11,661,000 of 29,900,000 recipients

38% black 11,362,000 of 29,900,000

17% Hispanic 5,083,000 of 29,900,000

And how do those numbers break down in comparison to the total population?

For instance, Blacks comprise less than 10% of the total population, yet comprise over 1/3 of those who are on assistance. This is due directly to the way assistance programs are designed, including shit like "affirmative action". They proclaim to help, but in reality create a forced dependency on those programs, and from that dependency extorts a race-based voting block based on lies, innuendo, and fear mongering.

Don't fall into the game of lying with statistics.

The link I cited quoted both sets.

Are you saying that African-Americans are more prone to manipulation because they are less intelligent than Caucasians?

Why do assholes like you always pull this kind of shit? "Oh, he thinks the Blacks are being lied to, so he thinks they are stupid!"

You are aware, are you not, that average education level has a strong, positive correlation to economic level? The poor, in general, attain lower levels of education that do those with higher economic means. Couple that with the pathetically poor performance of the education systems in poverty stricken areas (another area in which the democrats "assistance" programs are a significant factor) and you have large numbers of people who are not necessarily unintelligent, but definitely poorly educated, and thereby easier to lie to.

That is one more reason the democratic party targets the poor: not because of lack of intelligence, but because their programs also control the education of their target audience.

Why do you state that "Blacks, Hispanics, and/or Native Americans need more assistance programs than equally poor whites"?

Do you have a statistical source for that assertion?

Isn't it a fact that a majority of African-Americans tend to vote for Democratic candidates?

If that's so, and taking into account your claim that those receiving government assistance are mainly African-American, can you explain the disparity?

It looks to me as if the poster is implying that non-whites are more susceptible than whites to being deluded by a deliberate strategy.

I wanted to know if that is in fact his/her position.

Is this what could be described as a stereotype? Or is it a series of generalizations?

I'd like to see some factual evidence for these statements.
