#AMERICAISDEAD
So Obama's new left wing hatchet man John Podesta (linked to billionaire George Soros) compared the GOP to the folks at Jonestown. I am sure that it was a cute analogy to the left wing crowd who are uneducated about their past and try to whitewash it.
But, what you might not know is that good ole Jim Jones was an avowed PROGRESSIVE who fought for SOCIAL JUSTICE. Yeah, its true. So it would appear ole Johnny got his comparisons completely wrong.

This one quote makes one think of the current resident of the White House.
Charismatic, politically savvy, visionary, persuasive, persecuted, manipulative, abusive of women, abusive of drugs, and, finally, murderous. Peoples Temple leader Jim Jones carefully revealed only as much of himself as he needed to to any given audience — his inner circle, the larger congregation, local politicians, or his various female companions. Much of the time he hid behind his sunglasses and let others project their hopes and fears onto him.
This was a suicide note left by one of Jones' devoted followers. Read it closely. Does it differ from anything Deshy Dearest floods this forum with on a daily basis?
“Please try to understand. Look at all. Look at all in perspective. Look at Jonestown, see what we have tried to do — this was a monument to life, to the [re]newal of the human spirit, broken by capitalism, by a system of exploitation and injustice. Look at all that was built by a beleaguered people. We did not want this kind of ending. We wanted to live, to shine, to bring light to a world that is dying for a little bit of love. To those left behind of our loved ones, many of whom will not understand, who never knew this truth, grieve not, we are grateful for this opportunity to bear witness — a bitter witness — history has chosen our destiny in spite of our own desire to forge our own. We were at a cross/purpose with history. But we are calm in this hour of our collective leave-taking. As I write these words people are silently amassed, taking a quick potion, inducing sleep, relief.”
