Ooh I like it! What is humanity going to do when human labor becomes less valuable in industrialized economies? What about all those jobs? I've read 50% of current jobs could be automated.
Society would have to evolve to appreciate art and leisure time more. Either that or eat the rich lol. But really the history of Luddite behavior is pinned to being made jobless by technology. How do we grapple with this when it flies in the face of capitalism?
Years ago when 'Luddites' was a chic epitaph, Unemployment benefits, Food Stamps, Project housing, and MedicAid was created to address the problem of Excess People.
Now, as Automation is replacing more Human Labor, these Government programs may have run their course.
Yang proposed a UBI (Universal Basic Income) as a 'solution' in the form of his 'Freedom Dividend'. I have no idea what the answer is, but at least he was thinking about it and realized it was an issue that needed to be addressed.
