Leftist Double Standards...

A) The hypocrisy is much more pronounced on the Left.
B) I'm sure there are the rare Libs who enlisted or who think soldiering is OK, but Liberalism is known for its pacifism. I look at the actions of elected liberal politicians and make my generalizations based on that.

A) It seems pronounced, because you are a fairly extreme right-wing hack. You probably don't even recognize hypocrisy within your own ideology.

B) Many pacifists love the military. When they are not being misused, the military is a big factor in keeping the peace.

You're still stuck in the '60's, aren't you?

A) Hack? Hardly. I make up my own mind.
B) Sure, that's why they work to cut military strength, because they like to have a strong military.

We have heard all about the Tiller incident, on every major news network for the past week, every possible angle, numerous special reports, and even an official public statement from the president. The act has been condemned by virtually everyone, (including the pro-life advocates) as the left continues the campaign to try and connect the tragedy to right-wing talk radio.

In contrast, on Monday, one soldier was killed and another wounded as they stood outside an army recruitment office in Little Rock, Arkansas. The assailant, a radical Muslim extremist, who claims he did it because of all the terrible things US soldiers have done to Muslims, and admits he would have killed more soldiers, had they been present at the time. How much news coverage has this incident received? The White House took 3 days to issue so much as a statement regarding this, and still no public comment by the Commander and Chief of these soldiers.

When a "right-wing" nut job kills a late term abortion doctor, we get two weeks of non-stop dramatic coverage from every news outlet, we get the president calling press conferences to express his outrage, and we hear non-stop whining from liberals about how "talk radio is responsible for this!" But when a radical Muslim extremist kills an American soldier on US soil, because he has been enraged by the barrage of non-stop left-wing Gitmo/AbuGrahab torture stories, we hear not a peep!

Could this have anything to do with the current middle east trip? Could it be, the president is afraid to make a statement because he doesn't want to cause a controversy on the brink of this 'historic' speech to the Muslim world? Or is it just that, army recruiters aren't among the "protected class" in this country? Oh, the Feds were swift to send out the US Marshals to protect abortion doctors at clinics around the country, but what is being done to beef up security at our recruitment offices? *crickets chirp*

Baloney. Coverage started on June 1, the day of the shooting.

No problem.

Try to stop lying when you post.

Kind of undermines Dixie's point. Also, as backup, I could bump Dixie's last 5 threads and identify at least one clear lie in each.

Are you calling me a hack because I called you one, and you just learned the word?

other threads are irrelevent to this thread, you immediately called him a liar without bothering to realize the timing of the statement and the timing of this thread....

Are you calling me a hack because I called you one, and you just learned the word?

YES!!! thats it!!! i've never used that word before you called me one....HOLY MOLY, dude, you're my IDOL!!!!!!! i can't believe the secret is out....where can i pay homage to your daily holy crap?

"other threads are irrelevent to this thread, you immediately called him a liar without bothering to realize the timing of the statement and the timing of this thread...."

Well, first of all, other threads are not irrelevant, if I'm calling him a liar. And he does lie, pathologically.

Second, if I'm starting a thread on a topic, and one of my main points to back up my argument is that the White House has not issued a statement, I would tend to check that before posting. I posted my response right after Dixie's initial thread, and all I had to do was google "White House statement Arkansas."

That's just me....

Dixie brings up two good points, the hypocrisy of the left and the fact that they hate the military.

Fact is, Libs, the military is the only thing that keeps y'all from being stoned to death by radical Islamists. You should all get down on your knees daily and pray to Mother Earth and Solar Man or whoever you worship for our selfless heroes.

Libs hate corporate motivated occupations of countries and killing of thousands of innocent bystanders. Your a freaking moron, but thanks. Knuckle draggers like you running the republican platform will ensure an even bigger defeat for you next time dufass.

For the third time now, this is not about when the news was covered. Obviously someone somewhere did indeed report it the day it happened, so it was covered by the news. Wow, it's really something when you honestly think that is the point... that a US soldier could be shot to death in front of a recruiting station on US soil, and the news media wouldn't cover it at all. Like I said, we haven't gotten that bad... yet!

My point is not whether the media covered the murder of a US soldier on US soil, if that were the case, I wouldn't be here posting messages on a silly political forum, I would be out buying ammo for the revolution. It would mean that our government was completely in control of the media and what we hear, and like I said, it hasn't gotten that bad... yet!

No, this was just a comparison of two murders, both are despicable, both perpetrated by extremist nuts, and both happening recently. In one instance, we get non-stop media coverage, every angle, background reports, panels of talking heads, talking about what we can do to stem violence caused by talk radio right wingers... with the other, we hear only the obligatory mention of the incident in the regular newscast, and it takes 3 days and public outrage from military families, before the White House even releases a statement. Then, the statements are a huge contrast, as I illustrated earlier. All the way down the line, the liberal news media (and the Obama Administration) has handled these stories differently, but the actual incidents are remarkably similar.

It's because, to a liberal pinhead... it's a big frikkin' deal when an abortionist is killed, it fits their template of blaming talk radio, so they can build their case for the fairness doctrine, and silencing our 1st Amendment rights to free speech. But it's not a big deal when a "baby killer" is gunned down outside a "war apparatus," he probably deserved it in your minds. Especially since it was a radical Muslim who killed the soldier, that just makes it even less important of a news story to liberals.

the left hates the military.

It's true. I do hate the military.

Each of the liberals here probably chuckled inside and said to themselves that the soldier deserved it for being part of the war machine.

No, I'm not a conservative. No one deserves to die, even soldiers.

Dixie's example is plain as day, but once again the asshole lefties will tell themselves they care that a soldier died, when we all know they don't give a shit. They couldn't care less or we'd have seen thread after thread about it.

Well, tinfoil, Tiller was a geniune American hero, and his death was much more politically motivated and random. These were two heinous acts of terrorism on American soldier in a short period of time.
