Legal weed did not end the world! Democrat exclaims!

You did not answer my question, Is that the same POTUS whose Justice Department is not enforcing portions of the federal Drug Law in Colorado?

But do go on pretending the drug busts haven't happened. Because yes, the DEA continued busting medical mj dispensaries here in CO and in CA and elsewhere.

Or are you again suggesting that only the past week matters. That once the tide of the populace came out AGAINST the Obama admins jack booted tactics, then he followed along.

Link me up to where I said drug busts haven't happened?

Again... yes, I understand that NOW he SAYS he won't... but AGAIN... you avoid answering the question I gave to you.

DID OBAMA campaign that he would leave medical mj facilities alone in states that approved them and then turn around and increase busts of those very facilities?

LMAO... ok, so the increase in drug busts over the past five years HASN'T happened? Ok Dung... seriously, other than Desh, there is no bigger Dem apologist than you.

NEVER HAPPENED FOLKS!!! NOTHING TO SEE HERE!!! MOVE ALONG!!!

According to the article, for the first 2 years, the Obama Administration was really good on medical marijuana issues. Then from about January 2011 to February 2012 (the date of the article) it was pretty bad. And what has happened since?

I'm not apologizing for anything. For a while, the Obama Administration took a stupid stance on medical marijuana, but it wasn't for five years and the position has since changed. So maybe you should acknowledge reality for once, sweetie?

And now let's think about what would happen under a Republican adminisrtation with this explosion of legalization, decriminalization and approved of medical marijuana.

LOL... you are such an apologist... Obama has been worse than Bush during his tenure. So I guess that tells us what would happen under a Rep admin. But do go on apologizing yet again for your master.

I'm just telling you what your article says and what has happened since then. If you want to remain an ignorant shit, that's your choice.

Which again doesn't change the fact that he campaigned on it, then went against his campaign promise. But do go on apologizing for your master.

Regardless of Obama's trend on the topic, it is clear that the Democratic party is the one more favorable to Marijuana legalization at almost all levels.

Many argued that the Feds would be busting users in Colorado. I tried to explain to them, why even if they wanted to they would not be able. Not even Mitt Romney could have stopped it. But these people are too caught up in partisan squabbles to see reality.

Democrats have been quite bad on the subject and have shown little courage. They have, however, shown a willingness to bend to the will of the people. Meanwhile, the Republicans have been more obstinate. They will come around eventually too, but there will likely remain a large minority of them that are obsessed with avenging their culture war losses. Some of them are still arguing the Civil War issues, after all.

Leadership on these issues never has and never will come from a vote grubbing politician. They will only come in once the change is unavoidable to claim credit and build themselves a statue. If Republicans were smart (imagine it's a sci-fi/fantasy world) they would quit worrying about the unearned credit Democrats will take and they would start rushing in to grab some of their own.

yet it doesn't change the FACT that he conducted more busts than Bush... despite his campaign promises.

Just because he started following the herd doesn't change what he did.

You have a source for the number of federal pot busts under Bush and Obama?

Go read the rolling stone article where it is discussed.

I read it. It does not support your statement. And it's about two years old.

Edit: The Rolling Stone article quite strongly suggests that the federal government under Obama has in FACT conducted fewer raids than under Bush.
