It has always traditionally been that Democrat presidents have to show that they are more belligerent than Republicans to prevent the charge of being soft on defence taking root. It's nothing new.

I think what is more likely to happen is that Israel would attack some of Iran's installations notably Netanz and use a US carrier(s) to land which just so conveniently happens to be close by.
 
Mitt Romney is on his way to Israel and is going to tell them that he will support Israel if they chose to attack Iran. Make of that what you will.

I'm not speaking to you personally here brother .. but we are at war with planet earth .. at tremendous cost to the economics and well-being to the American people. We've become food stamp nation. Many of the families of our military are on food stamps an the jobs for those not in the military are shrinking .. especially for the youth.

Yet with all the wars and conflicts this nation is currently involved in .. now we lust for more and threaten IRAN .. a nation that WE empowered with our mindless attack on Iraq.

And surprise, surprise .. guess who benefits from the horrors of our wars?

CORPORATIONS .. especially those in the energy and defense business. We attack Iraq .. guess who benefits? We attack Iran .. guess who benefits?

Democrats and many people I like here a whole lot don't want to talk about this truth. I mean no personal offense to anyone .. but how do they turn a blind eye to this truth? Even if you think it's important to support and vote for Obama .. how do you not even speak to what he is obviously and right in your face doing?

We are murdering people for profit .. and just like you were aware of that truth when Bush was doing it, you're aware of that truth today.

Those of us who are concious must speak to the evil we do. You cannot point fingers at thr right and deem them fools and lemmings when you find political answers for the carnage and inhumanity that your soul stands against?

In terms of raw numbers, wouldn't the hispanic vote be more important? Would they not be the decider in more elections?

Are there legitimate and sound questions that can be asked about what price we pay for Israel?

I don't doubt what you say, I am just pointing out that anyone wanting to be elected, especially when running neck and neck, has to court the Jewish vote. If you do not then you lose, that is the harsh reality.

We have voting machines that jack the vote. We have voter ID laws intended to jack the vote and disenfranchise voters. We have corporate and offshore money used to jack the vote and stack the deck. We have a bought and paid for Supreme Court that isn't elected and is the final word. We have racist religious freaks forming militias against gays, blacks, mexicans, muslims and liberals who believe the Black Panthers were thugs when they had registered guns while black and didn't cower to the racist system. Until we get the money out the corruption wins every time and we the people busy ourselves with entertainment and pointing fingers at each other while we feel smug in our belief that we're #1. Totally insane bullshit.

Soul? What soul? We're rapidly becoming a collective human husk with dead eyes. We hear crowds at debates boo at honesty. (ie. an out gay veteran)

I'm not begrudging the Jewish vote in any form. But it isn't the Jewsih VOTE that keeps every American president running in place. You don't take the kinds of risks, nor pay the kinds of costs we do for 3% of the vote.

But none of that is really the point. In the end, it isn't about Obama, it isn't about Jewish or non-Jewish anything. It's about the individual. It's about you and me.

Do principles count .. how much are they worth?

Are they worth as much as human life?

Lesser evil .. or just lesser principled?

Do you not recall the 2000 election and Florida? The Jewish vote could have easily decided the whole election. I don't think Obama has to really worry about the Hispanic and Black votes they tend to be reliably Democratic.

I disagree, I say Romney if elected president will start a war with Iran? Why, he is an armchair warrior, a former chicken-hawk, and an ass-wipe for the state of Israel!
