Let me get this straight... Dems to LOSE Kennedy's seat?

And it seems like only a few weeks ago, "the Republican Party is dead" was being chanted by the airhead liberals of the Democrat party........

Let me get this straight... Dems to LOSE Kennedy's seat? <-Thread title. Posted well ahead of the actual election!

No, I didn't know for certain Brown would win. I thought it was fascinating that a Republican was even in contention for TED KENNEDY'S seat! The Father of Liberal Socialist Health Care... the Mecca of Liberalism... The Great Camelot Machine... I thought it was astounding that a Republican was even allowed to run for the seat, or could actually get through a campaign without being done in by hoards of angry liberals! But to WIN... to actually take the 40-year-old Bastion of Liberalism seat from the Democrats, to do it largely on the issue Ted Kennedy stood for, even with Obama campaigning.... Nawww.... I never in my wildest dreams thought this would happen!

Yeah. The best will be seeing the wild-eyed bamboozled look of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid et al.

Wonder if new furious deals will be made behind closed doors now?

/grins....I grew up in an era when Iowa schools took 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the national collegiate wrestling tournaments.....my wife's brother was a fifth place heavyweight state high school champion...she's from a big sports family.....her grandmother was on the state champ girl's high school basketball team.....in 1921.......:clink:

No the Democrats lost the people's seat!

Its a valuable lesson to learn and I hope the Democrats did, that seat was not owned by anyone but the voters.

I hope this new Senator is not really so conservative, I have seen some indication he is much more liberal than say Lieberman, so we will see!

The people filled it, as they should, thats why we have elections. Loosing the seat Kennedy sat in for so long is good for American Democracy, even if it was to a liberal Republican.

You just keep hoping pinhead. He certainly didn't run on a "liberal republican" platform, he ran on common sense conservative principles articulated by Ronald Reagan, and strong national defense principles like George W. Bush, and his cornerstone campaign promise was to vote against Obamacare! So, apparently, he is not as "liberal" as you seem to think!

Give me a break! He did what any Republican in MA does - he rushed to the left. "I'm a new kind of Republican, blah, blah, blah". I don't buy it for a second of course, but he did what he had to do...

Well no one thought you would like a new kind of Republican any more than you like the old kind, Onzies! And personally, I hope you don't buy it!! I hope you continue to think this is a fluke, that this guys just said what he had to in order to win, and he will be another fraud republican like Olympia Snowe, which you can count on for support of your liberal agenda. But honestly, I think you are in for a rude awakening.
