The REAL story is, McCabe was fired by "The Internal FBI probe" based in evidence uncovered by the Justice Department's Inspector General who was appointed by Barrack Obama. McCabe was determined by the evidence to have leaked unauthorized material to the media and being less than truthful to the FBI. McCabe is also known to have colluded with others in the FBI to exonerate Hillary Clinton and to frame Trump. McCabe's problems are just beginning if the Swamp has the balls to bust open the DEEP STATE criminals in high places in a corrupt government.

The action taken against McCabe was rushed through solely to fire him before his 50th birthday, deny him his pension and publicly humiliate him. Disciplinary actions like the one taken against McCabe typically take much longer to complete. Had they done so and still arrived at the same conclusion, they could have retroactively stripped McCabe of his pension or docked it, etc.
But like with everything else this asshole administration does, it was handled badly and it stinks of partisan politics. Furthermore, McCabe can now make the case in court that his firing was politically motivated based on the months of public harassment by Trump.
