I don't get what's wrong with being woke.

Merriam-Webster:

" woke adjective
chiefly US slang
: aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice)"

Sounds like a good thing!

Surely, being well informed is preferable to being poorly informed...

Any dispute on that? Seems to be pretty straightforward. Knowledge is power. So what's the deal?

It is logical that a society comprised mostly of individuals who are aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues, especially issues of racial and social justice, would be a great society to be a part of. That would result in low crime and minimized hatred, a society where people respected one another and got along fine, happy and content, pleased to be a part of something bigger than them, something really great.

Most people already think America is a great country.

Wanna make America greater?

A woke America would be a greater America.

Let's Go, Get Woke, America!
 
Anything involving a nation moving further to the Left is a sure loser. Woke means moving to the Left. That makes woke a sure loser.
 
Only people who are not aware of nor actively attentive to important facts and issues, particularly issues of racial and social justice, would think being woke is a bad thing.
 
I'm starting a new social slogan, right here, right now.

You're in on the ground floor. This is the birth of a huge new social slogan.

It just came to me. Let's go. Get woke, America.

Run with it. Can't be repeated too much. Let's make it a thing.

We need this. Bring it on. Make it a thing.

In short, the Left wants you under their thumb for life in their dictatorship of virtue.
 
There's nothing wrong with being woke.

It's a good thing!

Turns out all the disdain for being woke really comes from the uneducated and their envy of successful people. And it also comes from racists. I'm sure some people know better, but if you're political power is derived from taking advantage of people who do not know any better, then the last thing you want to do is try to tell them better. No. You're not going to do that. You're going to go along with what they want to believe. Take their side in a culture war.

But that still doesn't mean there is really anything wrong with being woke.

Because being woke is a good thing.
 
We don't want a dumb nation.

We want a nation of well informed people.

Democracy depends on a well informed actively engaged populace.

Seems like the right is trying to make America dumb.

What a dumb idea!

Then you should not vote for Progressive Democrats as they will enact programs that make you stupid.
