I didn't realize that anyone claimed that it does. FYI, the First Amendment prohibits Congress from enacting any law contrary to the Constitution as follows:
  1. Making laws establishing religion or prohibiting the free exercise of religion.
  2. Abridging freedom of speech.
  3. Infringing on the freedom of the press.
  4. Interfering with the right to peaceably assemble.
  5. Prohibiting the right to petition the government for redress of grievances.
These restrictions apply to government actions, not private entities or individuals.

Nobody I know of ever thought the First Amendment forces private citizens to read online content. It doesn't compel anyone to consume specific content. Forcing someone to read something would contradict the principle of free choice inherent in these protections.

I also didn't realize that social media users can't avoid seeing content without employing a blocking mechanism.

When I don't want to read something, I don't read it. I don't need software to hide it from me. But you do you.
LOL. I guess you didn't bother to read your own source. It isn't a violation of the first amendment for a person to use software to filter out what you don't want to read. You are making a shit argument since people have always used methods to avoid the idiocy of others.
