Lets see if Trump has 175 Million

The appellate court has reduced the bond (not bail) required for a stay to $175,000,000.

Does he even have that? Will anyone lend him that?

They gave him 10 more days to get it too. I do not understand why they stuck their noses into a case in progress.

Republicans hate it when poor people get reduced shit like this from courts

But they love it for their own criminals

Trump is just stalling. He doesn't have 175 million, and no way to raise it without selling something.

Now he does own the first 3 or 4 office floors of Trump Tower, and the 2 top penthouse floors, outright with deed in hand.

The problem with the main penthouse floor, is he pretty much lavishly gold-plated the entire floor and only some Saudi Arabian prince would buy such a gaudy thing such as that.

And, the entire building is probably only worth 200 million, if it had to be quick sold, but he only owns 6 floors.

That actually seems fair to me. I think Trump should be allowed to appeal the ruling and could not do that if he had to post the original amount.

Let him post the the $175M if he can...and get the appeal. The extension of 10 days seems too much to me, but still reasonable.

Like you, Jarod, I wonder if Trump can even meet the new burden.

He would only need 75 Million, as we've already learned that the banks offered 100 Million.
