In American politics today, there's no such thing as a "liberal." America was founded on liberal principles. The Bill Of Rights is a very liberal document relative to individual liberty & very conservative related to the powers of government. SO, in reality, Democrats ain't liberals, they're BIG government LEFTIST authoritarians. Republicans ain't conservatives, they're BIG government RIGHTIST authoritarians. The only real difference between the two is WHO they feed at the government trough first.
I have gotten to a point where I no longer believe people when they use political identifiers like dem, repub, liberal, commie, libertarian, socialist, progressive, conservative, etc. There was once a time when all these things had specific unique meanings, but now there are very few people who are able to identify with the correct term to describe their political position. I just see two sides of a political war now, and people are either on my side or the other. I call my side righties and the other side lefties, but I only determine what they are after talking to them or reading what they have to say.

To be fair, some liberals are good at math. I work with one such liberal. The other liberals I work with do suck at math, though. Personally, I am pretty decent at math. I am a Conservative. I work in the Accounting field.

You will notice people label, for example, David Brooks as a "conservative". When has David Brooks ever aimed to preserve the US Constitution? He instead aims to liberally apply laws/policies. He is a liberal, not a conservative.
