That's your fear brother. I'm betting that I've been walking around a lot longer than you .. and have been in more .. make that FAR more, "need to be cautious" situations than you have .. and I've never owned a gun.

no offense to you brother, but you don't consider the complete unpreparedness to deal with possible issues that are life threatening as 'ignorance'? do you have fire extinguishers? do you have 911 pre set on any phone? do you know any hand to hand combat?

No disrespect intended, but there is a huge difference between being cautious and prepared than being paranoid.

I repeat, one would be mistaken to think me unprepared. My mind is my greatest weapon.

You may own 1,000 guns .. do you walk around with them everywhere you go with your finger on the trigger? If not, then are you not what you call "unprepared?"

Yes, I have fire extinguishers .. no, I don't have 911 preset because its too easy to dial .. yes, I have a black belt .. alarms on our cars and a dog.

I mentor 8th grade boys who live in rough neighborhoods. I am unafraid to go to see them no matter how late they may call.

As I've said, you are entitled to your fear .. but life without it is a life of freedom.
