Libyan Prime Minister grabbed

Half-truths at best.
indeed. we finally learned not to go counterinsurgency, but the "dizzying interventionism' gene survives.
Obama would surely have hit Syria if the Brits hadn't rebuffed PM Cameron.

We are war weary, exausted, but still will fight low grade drone wars/contingency Special Ops operations.

None of which would be so bad, if we hadn't overdroned, and over warred to begin with.

The US is exausted, at least 2147 war deaths in Afg..dysfuntional DC.
It's amazing how screwed up we are and yet still able to have a large economy.

Think of what we could have been...

Summary for those interested: Annata claimed to be ignoring me...yet here she is, in my thread. Life's funny, n'est-ce pas?
i never put you on ignore, i told you I "sensed sentience" about you (a good thing) . Rather not ignore. give us all a rest, and be a part of the community.

Much better when we all talk to each other.

No, Obama wouldn't have hit Syria. He very cleverly set the stage for a peaceful ending to the crisis situation. He knew all along that taking any side would have been a complete mistake. What's interesting though is that you haven't been paying attention to more recent developments in which it's becoming clear that the Assad government can almost sit on their hands and let the terroristis fight against each other.

No matter how much Americans want to hate Obama, the end result of a peaceful settlement and no US led war is the only result that now matters. Obama wins and Putin gets half the credit.

Winners too in the sense that a solution for Iran is now possible.

that's a legitimate p.o.v. I don't agree that Assad would not be hit; but it's debatable.

Yes. In a way Assad can sit on his hands, as the proxys/jihadi kill each other -true enough
