Beck is a populist, and talks a lot like Huckabee. I think his current popularity is a product of the recently acquired celebrity statuses of the likes of Palin and Huckabee. Which is sad, because populism blows...

Yes, he's on FOX now. I'm not saying his some influential type. I just assume that's who she was referring to.

Beck's been a conservative radio guy for a while before TV. He is a self-described libertarian who is pro life. Huckabee is a nice guy, but a total yawn to watch. He definitley should not be considered a "voice" of conservativism...Beck, however, is striking a populist chord among conservatives and independents so he is "good" for the conservative message of less government and more accountability of politicians. Like populism or not, it's what gets the heart beating.
 
beck is crazy... I watch him sometimes to get a laugh. Much in the same way I watch olberman on occasion, it's funny to hear what crazy shit they'll say next.
