That's the point. trump threatens to fund their opponents, but I think we all know that he's going to funnel all of his fundraising into his own coffers.

As for me… libertarian as usual. Trump is insane and Harris has NO concern about the border. Neither has any concern about the deficit. My only regret in all my votes for president was voting for HW and not Perot.

Which is how I voted in the past two elections and, given Trump isn't in the running or has a chance of winning, will do so again.

The deficit troubles me too. Not a business guy but if the US government defaults, who benefits? Not American business, does it?

It'll never default. Our taxation system is the world's largest Ponzi Scheme. It's a matter of principle and personal govt. responsibility for me. It's just plain irresponsible to spend more than what comes in.

Nope. Harris will not get the nomination without a primary. Like Hillary, she might be qualified (IMO nowhere near as qualified as Clinton) but she's clearly not 'likeable'. Something about Harris that repels people. Probably her voice, and that moronic tone she uses when she's trying to be nice.

Making the 2024 election a free-for-all increases the chances the Republicans will win.

The best strategy for the Democrats is to have Harris run as an incumbent and use the power of the office to win reelection.

I'm not arguing the logic. I agree with you, even though I know Harris can't win.

There will be a primary challenge. Count on it. Normally, POTUS would run again unopposed. I don't see Biden running again, unless Manchin suddenly disses his donors and acts like a Democrat.

As I said...Biden won't run.

It's going to be a shit show on the Republican side. Dems. need someone who can run a campaign like Biden did. Be the adult in the room. Harris' last campaign was run by her incompetent sister. It fell apart.

She's being criticized for her incompetent staff now too. I don't give much credence to it, but a lot will happen between now and '24. Hopefully, trump dies and Republicans are free to purge the party.

Right now trump is making a fortune by convincing people that he's running. I'm really not sure that he will. I actually don't want him to die. I want him to have a massive stroke and sit drooling in a wheelchair for the rest of his life.
