And The Dance Goes On

It's no shot in the dark
And no trick of the lights
You tease me, adore me
Talking dirty, sitting pretty
Lay me down and anoint my wounds
Dust up, bust up, let's get down to the nitty-gritty

And the dance goes on
And the dance goes on and on
And the dance goes on
And the dance goes on and on and on and on ...

The EU leaders agreed to meet again on June 21 to review Britain's behavior after it has elected a new set of MEPs. Mr Macron is concerned that Britain could disrupt the EU in its final months as a member.

It is highly likely that many of the new British MEPs will be from the Brexit and Ukip parties. How can Mrs May ensure that they behave as good Euro-fodder?

What can they do except cut short the extension? That's what many Leavers want. They would have every incentive to behave as badly as possible. This could get interesting.

Meanwhile, some thoughts:

"With Brexit, the EU will lose a member with centuries-old diplomatic networks, an economic powerhouse, and a nuclear power with a first-class military."
- Sigmar Gabriel, former Vice Chancellor and Foreign Minister of Germany.

"We have a European renaissance to run."
- Emmanuel Macron.

Le grand Macaroon really said that at the EU Council meeting, and nobody sniggered.
