Looks like Frankin is going to get MN

Coleman is appealing of course.

Appealing in the legal manner, thought I might need to clarify that for some.

He must know by now he cannot win even on appeal. The only reason he's continuing to do this is to keep Franken from voting for as long as possible. I hope the courts refuse to hear his case.

Bingo Norm, this is the peoples choice and he should be seated.
Coleman is going to kill his carreer and keep the people of his state from having their own choice and the representation they voted for.

why didn't you demand franken concede after the first count? why are you now demanding coleman not exercise his privilege, like franken did, and take this issue higher up....

Coleman career was already dead. He lost to a former professional wrestler, beat a dead guy and then lost to a comedian. That's not very good. He's got nothing to lose except a future on the wingnut welfare circuit and the only way to keep that intact is to please the wingnuts by appealing this all the way up to the Supreme Court (if they'll take it).

That's a big mistake by the Republican national party. The national party doesn't want to lose anymore ground to Democrats but if they fight this they'll cut their noses off to spite their face. Most Minnesotan's recognize Al Franken as the winner of the election and they want him in office so that he can begin to represent the state. If the national Republicans fight this not only will they irreperably damage Colemans political career but they will see a political backlash from the citizens of MN as they have gone 3 months now with our their required representation in the Senate. Trust me, the folks in Minnesotta are royally pissed at Texan Senator Cornyn. He's supposed to be Texas Senator not Minnesotta's.

It's not Coleman. He wants to bag it. Figures if he doesn't his political future in Minnesota is toast. It's national Republicans who are pressuring him to fight. Particularly John Cornyn (sp?) of Texas who leads the Senate Republicans re-election caucus. Coleman is so screwed by this. If he doesn't bag it his future in the state is toad and if he does bag it his future in national Republican politics is toast. The perfect storm for Coleman. He would have been better off if he had been soundly beaten by Franken.

Obviously Franken Cheated to win this election. The disparities in how the votes were counted should be enough to overturn the total fraud. Obviously they have now purchased three judges. I wonder how long it will take for Obama to appoint them to higher benches. Total Sham!

That's some weak ass trolling, SF. At least link to the Wall Street Journal op-ed page or something.

very funny

Methinks that Bush v. Gore may have some bearing in where they take this case and on how the votes were counted in MN.

Calling Franken a comedian is being generous. Thirty years ago he was funny for a brief period, but today he's just another vindictive malcontent with a fondness for lying.

OK. Coleman lost to a guy that was funny thirty years ago for a brief period but that today is just another vindictive malcontent with a fondness for lying.

I don't see that this changes my assessment of Coleman's electoral career.

You're right, it doesn't. I just couldn't help myself. I used to like Franken way back when and I really dislike what he has become.
