Its not the nation, its the news editors. Its all about what sells tooth paste and not about journalistic responsability.

Yet they all gave it importance, just not the importance you believe it should have. It's not buried and impossible to reach, it is in all of their headline areas accessible to all.
 
Now we all know involvement in treasonous acts is not important if Republicans do it. But lying about a blow job, well that is serious crap.

We know nothing of the sort. This story has had legs forever, it's getting near the end yet is still reported among their top stories. ANS wasn't even on any of those lists.

It is fun to dawg on the media, but really, they gave the story importance it isn't hidden, and it is reported. Saying that it means that if an "r" does it nothing happens is spectacularly missing the fact that the man, under a person appointed by Bush, was actually tried and convicted under Bush.

Anyway, Treason is not the crime he committed. That is preposterous. They were not actively working toward the downfall of the American government.

Had "Scoots" actually just owned up and resigned, he would have gotten a light slap on the wrist at a level like Sandy Berger's who was smart enough to just fess up.

He thought he could get away with it, he was wrong.

I expect that, much like I expected the North pardon. They'll keep appealing until they can pardon him at the 11:30 mark of the current Administration.
 
Cheney would be pissed if Bush did not pardon Libby. Cheney already tried to get Rove sactrificed instead of Libby.
 
the news started out as a public service required by the FCC for TV stations to get a liscence, they have migrated into a mega dollar profit center.

Perhaps we should requre the news media to be non profit ?
